In Chocolate I Wept

In mornings
I saw
Your face-
No scent
Of respite.

Reached
No you,
Touch
To wipe off
All those months;
One word,
A look
Of retrieved
Delight.

Me-
I walked
On that beach
Again,
Wished the lovers
Well,
Smiled at crabs
And long-lost kisses,
Felt the salt
Again.

Through
Forced eyes,
Rendition
Of a monologue;
I just
Ask me
Why.

You
Again-
Why.

Of course,
No wayfarer
Got this far.

Into that
Corkscrew void
Dead
Our
Time,
A relative
Strange love,
Me
Far more so.

Now you
Again.
Why,
Why now.

When through
Our same street
I passed-
Coffee and cream,
Dark brown candy
Sun-streaked
To a sensuous
Melt
Down
Into my eyes.

Alive .
Together,
My gates
Are ever free.

You-
Walk
Me
Any when
You wish.
